This product is mined from deposit and brought to the form expected by the audience. The article presents the essence of the mining production planning, which base is the production capacity of the mine. The important factors determining the production capacity of the mine have been found. The content of the production plan, which includes data about the size and the structure of production in terms of volume and value, has been presented. The size and structure of the mining production is dependent on geological-mining conditions in which the process of exploitation is to be implemented. The size of the production plan is closely linked with the level of production capacity. Then, the production capacity of mine has been defined with regard to measures of production, which are divided into three groups: physical, value and labour-consumption. In addition, the size and structure of the mining production, which is determined by balancing the factors affecting its course, have been discussed.
